Dr. King speaking in Batesville in 1968
Thanks to reader Debbie McCain Wesley for sharing this photo of Dr. King speaking in Batesville about two weeks before his untimely death. She wrote: “Here’s a pic of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speaking at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church during his visit on March 19, 1968. It’s also where my late Uncle James Thomas “Buddy” Cooper was a devoted member.”
