The following actions were taken in Batesville Municipal Court on Wednesday, June 12, with Judge Charlie Baglan presiding.
Jaqenthis Ford, 317 Arizona St., Batesville, had a stalking charge dismissed after the affiant asked for the charges to be dropped.
Latoya L. Fondren, 202 Jefferies St.,Batesville, pleaded not guilty to simple assault. A July 10 court date was set.
Montreal J. Turner.,114 Martinez St., Batesville, was ordered to pay $842 in old fines dating back to February 2017.
Jimmy Bishop, 557 Sanders Rd., Sardis, had a case of DUI (refusal) and careless driving continued until July 24.
George L. Todd, 330 Ford Rd., Batesville, bonded out prior to court on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and failure to stop for blue lights.
Todd was issued an arrest warrant for non-payment of old fines totaling $3,346 dating back to December of 2015.
Rayshun E. Hewettle 204 Lester St. Apt. C, Batesville, had a felony shoplifting charge bound over to the Panola County Grand Jury.
