Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie E. Darby of Batesville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Billie Claire, to Dr. Jerry Thomas Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry A. Campbell of Collierville, Tenn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Louie and Billie Coker of Iuka and the late Gordon and Pauline Darby of Marks.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Jean Campbell of Oxford and the late Jerry Campbell and the late Clifford and Dolores Philippart of Oxford.

The bride-elect is a graduate of North Delta School and the University of Mississippi where she studied marketing. She is employed by Hollywood Feed as advertising and creative director.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Collierville High School in Collierville and the University of Mississippi where he studied forensic chemistry, and the University of Tennessee Dental School where he studied to become a doctor of dental surgery.

Dr. Campbell is employed by NYU Langone as a pediatric dental specialty resident.

The wedding will take place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26,  at Paris-Yates Chapel on the University of Mississippi campus. A reception will follow at the Chancellor’s House.
