Dec. 9

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will celebrate its “Women in Red” program at 3 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the church. The special guest speaker will be Evangelist Carrie Peggs. The pubic is invited to attend. Rev. Sammie Parker is church pastor.

First Baptist Church will present its annual Children’s Musical “The Best Christmas Present Ever” on Dec. 9 at 6 .m. There will be a nursery for children age three and under provided.

Sardis Lake Baptist Church will host “Christmas Extravaganza Sunday”, Dec. 9 with McGilliard Ministries of Shelbyville, Tenn.. The special day will begin with “Magic Show Sunday School” at 9:30 a.m., and end with the “Black Light Spectacular Christmas Program” at 5 p.m. Great for all ages! Dec. 15

West Camp M.B. Church will present its Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. Rev. Harlen Harris, Jr., is pastor. The public is invited.

Dec. 16

First Baptist Church of Batesville will present its Adult Choir Musical “Christmas is Jesus” on Dec. 16 at 10:15 a.m. All are cordially invited. There will be a nursery for children age three and under provided.

On Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m., the Como United Methodist Church will be hosting a harp concert of seasonal and spiritual music by June Caldwell. Ms. Caldwell is a regionally known musical artist from Pontotoc.  There will be no admission for the concert, but a love offering will be taken. Ms. Caldwell always donates a portion of her proceeds to Operation SMILE. She will also have her latest CD available for purchase.

The church will provide light refreshments following the concert.  The pastor and congregation invite the public to what they hope will become a yearly event. CUMC is located at 101 Main Street in Como. For additional information, contact the church office at 526-5256.

Pleasant Green M.B. Church, 549 Union Rd, Sardis, will have its annual Choir Day on Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited. Barry Jones, Sr., is the pastor.
