The Batesville 8th grade boys basketball team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 36-18 road win at Coldwater Thursday.

Jayden Smith led the way with 13 points while Coya Ford added eight. Jaterrion Dorris garnered six points followed by Demarion Hoskins with four. Brayden Martin chipped in with three as Jayden Barksdale rounded out the scoring with two points.

Batesville travels to Palmer today for four games starting at 5 p.m before hosting Pope in two 7th grade games Thursday in a 5 p.m tipoff
