Dustin Briscoe

SARDIS––Dustin Briscoe, 42, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Baptist Memorial hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born February 20, 1974 to Charles Wayne Briscoe of Southaven and the late Rosa Hardin Briscoe in Memphis.
Dustin was a salesman and thoroughly enjoyed all sports especially the Texas Longhorns.
Survivors, in addition to his father include: his daughter, Zoe Briscoe of Dallas, Texas; step-mother, Tricia Hogan Briscoe of Southaven; and his grandmother, Edna Laverne Briscoe of Batesville.
The family will hold a private memorial service for Dustin at a later date

Alford Ray Darby

Alford Ray Darby, 68, died Wednesday evening, December 7, 2016 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Services were held Saturday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope. Interment was at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Reverend Derrick Simmons officiated the service.
Ray was born June 6, 1948 to the late Alford Burt Darby and Ruby Jeweline Rogers in Tallahatchie County. Ray was a truck driver and served his country in the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to church at Liberty Hill Baptist, where he was a member.
Survivors include his daughter, Jocelyn Darby of Memphis; sons, Adam Darby of Ft. Worth,  and Brandon Darby of Melbourne, Fla.; one grandchild, Potter Darby of Nashville; four brothers, Tommy Joe Burks of Nesbit, Billy Darby (Jean) of Pope, Ricky Darby of Batesville, Jackie Darby (Libby) of Southaven; four sisters, Bonnie Dulin of Batesville, Sue Alred (Junior) of Pope, Shera Horne (Joe) of Pope, and Angie Ledbetter (Jamie) of Batesville, and two god daughters; Shelby and Amber Pieczyniski of Pa.
