Wilburn Winford Cannon

BATESVILLE––Wilburn Winford Cannon, 83, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, August 12, 2016. 

Services were held Monday at Dickins Funeral Home. Interment was at Magnolia Cemetery in  Batesville. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Mr. Wilburn Cannon, born, August 23, 1932, to the late Norman and Zula Cannon, was a retired delta farmer and member of Crowder Baptist Church.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors exploring on his 4-wheeler, working in his garden and dominating local dominoes games at the Crowder Parts Store.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include: his loving wife of 66 years, Katherine Russell Cannon of Batesville;  two sons, Garry Cannon (Martha) and Rickey Cannon (Teresa), both of Batesville; one daughter, Melissa Cannon Bolen (Kenny) of Batesville; his brother, Jerry Cannon (Carolyn) of Clinton; his sister, Yvonne Cannon Brown (Bobby) of Batesville; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cannon is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Zula Cannon and his sister Modean Brooks.
