NWCC to hold Meet the Rangers August 25

SENATOBIA – Northwest Mississippi Community College will start its fall sports season off right with the annual “Meet the Rangers” night on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m.
Admission is free for the event, which will take place at Bobby Franklin Field on the Senatobia campus.
Athletes from the football and men’s and women’s soccer teams, cheerleaders, Ranger Marching Band and Rangerettes will be on hand for the evening’s festivities.
Northwest will begin the quest for its second consecutive football national championship on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Hinds. From there, the Rangers will return home for their 2016 home-opener against Pearl River on Sept. 8.
This year the Ranger band’s halftime show is titled “Bond… James Bond” and will feature music from several Bond films including “Casino Royale,” “The World is Not Enough” and “Skyfall”.
Northwest’s men’s and women’s soccer teams will open the regular season on Aug. 26 at Copiah–Lincoln Community College. The home-opener for both teams is scheduled for Sept. 7 against East Central.
