The homeowner told Patrolman Eddie Flores that his son spotted the person in the pre-dawn darkness leaving from behind a parked vehicle but could not provide a description of the person. After an initial inspection, the homeowner told the officer that a shop vacuum was missing from his tool shed and four personal checks had been stolen from his parked car.

“Later that morning (the victim) called Batesville Police Department and stated his tool set and 75 foot extension cord were also missing from his tool shed,” Flores states in his report.

A Patton Lane homeowner called police Sunday morning to report that he had found his fence damaged. The damage, estimated at $1,500, occurred between the evening hours Saturday night and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the victim told patrolman Mark Mills.

Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact the Batesville Police Department, 563-5653.
