Photographers offer unique tintype pictures in fundraiser

By Rupert Howell
Primitive photographers and friends of former Panolian columnist and balladeer Ricky Harpole, Michael Foster and Chad Smith, are sponsoring Tintype Portraits for Harpo this Saturday at Buffy’s on The Square beginning at 9 a.m. in Batesville.
The two are making appointments but will gladly accept walk-ups to the fundraiser.
For  $75 (plus tax) a one-of-a-kind 4 x 5” tintype is taken and processed similar to the process used during the Civil War.
Harpole recently lost his house and belongings to fire in the Teasdale community. Plans are to move a 24 x 30’ structure to a slab on the site. Meanwhile family and friends are assisting with donations of furniture, clothes, appliances, gift cards and money to a GoFundMe page to assist with a new dwelling.
Approximately 200 Harpole CDs will also be available for $10 each.
Call Chad Smith at (662) 934-0542 for appointment.
