Austin Towles gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits and a strikeout in .2/3 innings in Northwest Community College (7-1) 5-4 win over Lake Land (Ill) Saturday.
Adam Cook and Landon Fullilove each singled as Coahoma Community College (2-9) lost 7-2 to Marion (Ala.) Military Institute.
Anna Lloyd singled and scored a run as Meridian CC dropped a doubleheader 9-4 and 8-0 to Faulkner State.
DaShawn Lindsay walked and scored the lone run as Southwest Illinois College lost 2-1 to Dyersburg CC. Lindsey also singled in the Blue Wave’s 2-1 setback to Southwest Tennessee CC.
Chance Whitten went 5-for-11 with three doubles and a home run as Mississippi College was swept at home in a weekend series against No.22 West Alabama. Whitten is currently batting .400 in seven games for the 6-7 Choctaws.
Nicole Fullilove picked up her first college pitching win as Central Arkansas downed Middle Tennessee State 10-2 with 3.1 innings of work. Fullilove gave up four runs on five hits and three strikeouts in 4.1 innings in the Bears 9-0 loss to South Dakota State.
Amanda Ivy singled in Mississippi State’s 6-0 shutout win over Incarnate Word. The Lady Bulldogs (12-2) split a four-game series in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Tournament.
