Anna Lloyd went 5-for-8 with two doubles and a pair of singles and four runs scored to help guide Meridian Community College to a double header split with Baton Rouge Community College. Through nine games, Lloyd is leading the Lady Eagles softball team with a .565 batting average.

Nicole Fullilove gave up one run on one hit in Central Arkansas’ 10-1 win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. The former South Panola product surrendered nine runs (three earned) on eight hits in 1.2 innings of relief in the Lady Bears’ 19-3 loss to No. 5 Oregon Saturday in the Louisiana-Lafayette Classic.
Chris Townsend singled and scored a run as Central Arkansas dropped its season opener 6-5 Friday to No. 25 ranked Southwest Missouri State.

Hunter Ivy gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and one strikeout as Northeast Community College fell 14-12 in extra innings to Jackson State, Tenn. CC Thursday in Booneville.
