A native of Batesville, Joe Boyles was a four-sport athlete at Batesville High School. After honoring seniors Friday night, North Panola basketball coaches made a special presentation to two Lady Cougars who have made their mark on the program. The South Panola Rifle Team competed in both state and national rifle matches. They traveled to Anniston for the Junior Olympic and CMP Regional Championship. The team placed 4th in the Eastern region and qualified as one of only 27 teams in the country to compete in the Junior Olympic National Championship in June. 2015 Sports Year in Review

The North Delta golf team captured the schools first ever MAIS Class AAA state championship.
 All three Panola County football teams were eliminated in the first round of their playoff brackets.
 Both North Panola boys and girls basketball squads advanced to the North State playoffs.
 The Northwest Community College Ranger football team won the program’s third NJCAA National Championship with a 66-13 thrashing of Rochester, Minn. on Dec. 6th at Biloxi’s Milner Stadium.
 Five Batesville  baseball and softball teams participated in the Dizzy Dean World Series. The Batesville seven-year old baseball and 12U softball squads both won respective North State Championships. Other teams involved include: 8 and 10U softball along with nine year-old baseball.
 The North Panola and South Panola Track and Field teams competed in the state track meet in Pearl.
South Panola head football coach Lance Pogue got his 200th win this year.
North Delta slowpitch wons the district and went to state.
South Panola football won district for third consecutive year.
Justin Connor was first 1,000 yard gainer in North Panola school football history.
North Panola powerlifting sent a male and female to Jackson for the state meet.
Onesha Hunt finished the basketball season with a career 1,000 points. She was second in school history to finish with 1,000.
Willie Hibbler was the first player from North Panola to go to the SEC since 2007 following Templaton Hardy.
North Panola basketball finished runner-up in the district tournament.
South Panola boys’ golf went to state for the first time in school history.
