MHP responds to school bus accident Tuesday afternoon
On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Troopers responded to a one vehicle crash, involving a school bus, on MS 315 north of Sardis, MS. Upon arriving, it appeared 2011 International School bus, belonging to the North Panola School District, was traveling southbound on MS 315 when it left the road to the right and collided with a ditch.
The driver and two other adults were transported to Merit Health, formerly known as, Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville with minor injures, 17 students were transport by bus to Tri-Lakes for observation and released. The accident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, according to a press release provided by Public Affiairs Officer, Corporal Marvin Baird, MHP Troop E.
