Courtland couple found dead in Gulf Coast motel

Courtland plumbing company owner Myron Hall, 39, and Varnasia Rena Frost, 28, were found dead in a Gulf Coast motel room Monday afternoon.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said the Panola County couple  were  found by  Motel 6 housekeeping staff in St. Martin near Ocean Springs.

Investigators determined both died from gunshot wounds, and Hall’s injury appeared to be self-inflicted. Although the deaths remain under investigation, officials are calling it a murder-suicide.

Ezell said the woman died of a gunshot wound and the man died of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Deputies secured a white Chevrolet Malibu in the parking lot that  was registered to one of the victims.
