Courtland plumbing company owner Myron Hall, 39, and Varnasia Rena Frost, 28, were found dead in a Gulf Coast motel room Monday afternoon.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said the Panola County couple were found by Motel 6 housekeeping staff in St. Martin near Ocean Springs.
Investigators determined both died from gunshot wounds, and Hall’s injury appeared to be self-inflicted. Although the deaths remain under investigation, officials are calling it a murder-suicide.
Ezell said the woman died of a gunshot wound and the man died of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputies secured a white Chevrolet Malibu in the parking lot that was registered to one of the victims.
