The suspect eventually ran to Warren Street to apartments off Church Street where officers ,deputies and police were waiting in anticipation. The suspect was captured without incident in an alley behind one of the apartments, a trooper said.
“He dropped a bag of money behind the apartments,” the trooper said.

The suspect had also dropped a stack of money on Dunlap Street near Ward when a dye pack exploded. The red-tinged money lay on the gravel where he had dropped it as local officers waited for the arrival of an F.B.I. agent who was summoned from Oxford.

“I want to thank all the agencies responsible, the state troopers, the Panola County Sheriff’s Department,” Burdette said.
