It has taken awhile, but the Batesville welcome sign on I-55 northbound, south of Batesville is in place as can be attested to by design contest winner Ericka Gonzales who submitted the winning entry quite a while back. Admiring Ericka’s handiwork are her younger sister, Daniela and son Angel. Batesville Mayor Jerry Autrey promised the winner a gift certificate to Cafe ‘Ole, which incidentally is operated by her uncle. Autrey said a welcome sign on the southbound side of I-55 will be completed w
