The votes are in and the winners have been decided in the Panolian’s 2014 Cutest Pet Photo Contest.
Though three categories of pets were open, only dogs were entered in the contest.
Placing first was “Tootie,” a mixed-breed female owned by Margaret Eubanks.
Second place winner was “Precious,” a female poodle, owned by Mamie and Otis Johnson.
Coming in third place was “Lizzie,” a female Lasapooh, owned by Jim and Linda Pitcock.
The contest raised $1,025 which was presented to the Panola County Humane Society.
“We can’t thank you enough,” said Eubanks, Humane Society board member. “The Panolian is a lifeline for the Humane Society.”
