After turning Professional in March, Goforth got off to a shaky start as any rookie in a professional sport can relate.

Recently, Goforth stepped up his play on the Emerald Coast Golf Tour, recently placing second in Eufaula, Ala. with scores of 66-71-70 (-9) and finishing one stroke off the leader Chase Blaich from Defuniac Springs, Fla.

Goforth then traveled to Ft. Rucker, Ala. where he picked up his first professional win (one day event), with a score of 67 (-5).

Following his first win, Goforth played in the Silver Wings Classic also in Ft. Rucker where he finished fourth with scores of 68-73 (-3).

Goforth is now preparing for the Web.com Qualifying School in Dallas, scheduled for September 17-19, where he will compete to earn a spot on the Web.com Professional Golf Tour in 2015.

In order to advance to the Web.com tour next year, he must advance through four Tournament Stages.

There will be approximately 1,000 golfers competing to earn 125 Web.com Tour Cards for the 2015 season. The Web.com tour is the new route for earning access onto the PGA TOUR.
