A health fair for families will be hosted Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Mississippi, 630 Highway 51 South, from 9 a.m. until noon

The event will offer free health screenings, information on a variety of health, safety and nutrition topics, and activities for children in the Kids Zone.

Participants in the health fair will be Tri-Lakes Medical Center, Batesville Fire Department, Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition, Dignity and Mercy Adult Day Care, and the Mississippi Kidney Foundation, Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi, the North Delta Planning and Development District, Air Evac Lifeteam, Dr. Rodney Franklin, Dr. Brandie Franklin, chef Gerry Sanford, and Charles Houston, gardener.

The fair will offer screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol; body fat and exercise analysis, and eye exams.
