Grenada had a commanding 17-3 lead in bottom of the fourth inning and after Ivy-Franks was assisted off the field in an ambulance, the coaches agreed to call the game at that point.

Ivy-Franks, a Mississippi State commit, was responsible for all three runs on the board. Her two run triple in bottom of the first scored Sidney Morgan and Chresha Brown who singled to get on base. Ivy-Franks scored on a Caitlyn Seay ground out to the pitcher  for the third run.

Nine defensive errors on part of the Lady Tigers spurred an eight-run inning for the Lady Chargers which all but put the game away in top of the second 13-3.

Grenada added three runs in the third and one in the fourth while holding the Lady Tigers scoreless.
The Lady Tigers return to action today at Independence for non-district action at 4 p.m.
