Letter to the editor

Our church was recently vandalized. Our first reaction was shock, and as we examined the damage we wondered how and why this could have happened.

We were appalled as we learned all the events (Teen charged in fatal hit and run, July 24) of that horrific Saturday night/Sunday morning. But we want the young men responsible, their families and the family of Mr. Butts to know that we love you and are praying for you.

We realize that we are living in a fallen world and that where you are, but for the grace of God, go we. May we all love and not hate and may we all turn to our heavenly Father and thank Him for the great love He had for us while we were yet sinners, in sending our Savior, Jesus Christ.
