The Clarion-Ledger reported that South Panola senior offensive lineman Deon Mix has verbally committed to play football for Mississippi State. They caught him as he was arriving for football camp that is going on this week. “I really knew from the beginning I was coming here,” said Mix, Sunday afternoon. “I just wanted to wait it out and keep them guessing.” Mix has been nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American game but the final list has not been released.
