Panolian team downs Smith-Phillips in JP Hudson 9-10-year-old baseball

Luke Weldon drove in three runs as  The Panolian eased past Smith-Phillips 12-1 in 9&10 year-old Dizzy Dean baseball play Tuesday night at J.P. Hudson Park.

In the second game of the night, Agriliance downed Dr. Haire’s Clinic 11-4 in five innings.

The Panolian scored four runs in the first, two in the second and six in the third before the game was called in the fourth due to the 10-run rule.

Dawson Griffin, Travis Duffie and Atkins Elliot registered a double and two singles for The Panolian. Colin Hartman added a double while Cole Carvin singled and scored. Weldon and Ryan Gibson each threw two innings on the mound.

Dre Moore accounted for Smith-Phillips’ only hit with a RBI triple in the second that scored Ben Smith. Eli Carlisle pitched two innings on the hill while Moore tossed one inning in relief.

Brayden Lee’s two-run triple sparked a six-run second inning for Agriliance in their win. Lee Adcock added a pair of singles while Bowen Williams, Hunter Cook and Cabriel Towles all singled. Caleb While also single and scored three runs for the winners.

Keshaun Lantern had two hits and scored a pair of run to lead Dr. Haire’s Clinic at the plate. Tanner Jaudon drove in two runs while Hayden Goss walked and scored a run. Drake Barton pitched three innings while Jaudon added two innings of relief work.
