Judge sends two defendants, charged with assault, to grand jury

Judge Bill McKenzie referred two defendants charged with aggravated assault to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday.

Markevious Robinson, 105 Browning, Batesville, waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury for aggravated assault against Ezkiel Willie. His bond was set at $40,000.

Tevin Robinson, 196 Harris, Sardis, had no bond set for aggravated assault and waived the preliminary hearing.

Farrah Ellis, 409 Armstrong, Batesville, was fined $709 for open container, no seatbelt and driving while license suspended.

Willie Benson Jr., 3376-A Eureka Rd., Batesville, was fined $599 for open container and no driver’s license. A trial was set for improper equipment after he entered a not guilty plea.

Patrick Mister, 101 Flowers Rd., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to disorderly conduct-failure to comply. He was fined $312.

Jerline Dennis, 98 Bonner Rd., Enid, entered a not guilty plea to disorderly conduct-failure to comply and resisting arrest.

Andrea Dillon, 178 West Oak Hill, Batesville, was fined $1,604 for possession of marijuana in vehicle, open container and old fines.

Cory Henderson, 101 Williams St., Batesville, entered a not guilty plea to possession of marijuana and no seat belt.

Damien Lewis, 206 Tubbs, Batesville, was fined $1,124 for shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Shandra Tate, 105 Dickey Dr., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting from Wal-Mart. She entered the city’s work program for 20 days.

Kimberly Tedford, 203 Moore Dr., Batesville, was fined $1,801 for DUI-refusal, driving while license suspended, careless driving and old fines of $467. She entered a not guilty plea to improper and equipment careless driving.

Dekeidrick Mister, 212 Noble St., Batesville, was fined $1,330 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle, and old fines of $680.

George Todd Jr., 330 Ford Rd., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to false information, possession of marijuana and old fines of $2,696.

Troy McMurry, 102 Lawson, Batesville, paid his fines of $1,128 in full prior to court.

Buck Beaver,  100 Latita, Batesville, entered the city’s work program for 24 days in lieu of paying $1,399 in old fines.

Ronnie Robertson, 1589 Hwy. 51 North, Sardis, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for old fines of $548.

Christopher Rast, 3881 Shiloh Rd., Batesville, was found guilty of loud music and fined $152.

Jeremy Smith, 227 Perkins Lane, Batesville, had a simple assault case dismissed after the affiant, Ronald Brown failed to appear to prosecute.

Donald Johnson, 123 Vance St., Batesville, had a disorderly conduct-failure to comply and resisting arrest case dismissed.

Kedric T. Sanford, 93 Greg Taylor Rd., Courtland, was fined $370 for driving while license suspended.

Randy L. Bolton, 37 Ivy Gordon Dr., Courtland, was fined $832 for running a red light, driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance.
