Thieves enter home while family at park

A family that left home to play at the park returned home to find thieves had swiped several items, a Batesville police report states.

The April 14 report from Patrolman Justin Maples describes the theft from a home on Noble Street in west Batesville.

Thieves left a PlayStation 3 but swiped three games from their boxes and took a controller according to the report. An iPod Touch was also stolen.

The missing games are an NBA game, an NCAA football game, and Saints Row 2. The games and iPod totaled approximately $424 in value.

A second police report, also on April 14, described the theft of a bench seat from a truck. The seat is valued at $500. Lt. Kerry Pittman filed the report of the missing seat.
