Strong tells Freeze that he’s still in

By Angie Ledbetter

From the very beginning when he started thinking about playing college football Temario Strong knew the University of Mississippi was the place.

The 6’1”/228 linebacker verbally committed on April 26, 2011 to let everyone know ahead of time.
“Ole Miss is like family to me and feels like home. I really haven’t looked back since I committed. Even with the coaching changes I never reconsidered.”

Ole Miss Coach Hugh Freeze paid Strong an in-home visit a few weeks ago.

“He told me that he understood that I could decommit but I told him that I was staying firm with my commitment and I’ll support him because I believe in him,” Strong said.

“Freeze talked about running the spread offense and he said he might let me get involved in it. I’m also going to play outside linebacker on defense.”

“I’ve also met some of the other coaches and I like the fact they have a lot of energy about themselves. I feel they’re going to bring Ole Miss back to life.”

Strong has offers from  University of Southern Mississippi, University of Memphis, University of Alabama and Mississippi State University.

Strong plans to major in sports medicine or law enforcement.

“Getting a degree is very important to me. If the Lord is willing I want to play in the NFL but if not I want to have something I can always fall back on.”
