Venison for Pantry

Published 12:00 am Friday, December 16, 2011

Ben Smith, 9, hoists a package of venison that came from a caring deer hunter whose donation will feed the hungry at the Panola County Food Pantry. Ben and his dad Adrian Smith (pictured in back) were delivering their second load of ground venison this week to the food pantry in Batesville. Adrian Smith estimated Pitcock’s Meats and Stan’s Country Store had produced 700 pounds of meat from donated deer. The Panolian photo by Billy Davis
