Weather forecasts at press time Monday indicated rain should move out of the Batesville area in time for tonight’s Batesville Christmas Parade sponsored by the Lions Club.
The parade starts at 6:30 and will follow its traditional route from Watts St./Park St. down Broadway and around the Downtown Square.
The theme this year is “Peace and Joy to all the World.”
Temperature for tonight’s parade was predicted to be 39 degrees.
Heavy rains yesterday caused the postponement of the Sardis Christmas Parade. It has been rescheduled for Dec. 12 with line-up at 5:30 p.m. in front of Fred’s, according to Duffy Russell with the Sardis Chamber of Commerce.
Russell encouraged participants from other area parades to call 609-2159 to sign up for the Sardis parade.
