Bulldogs win 1 of 3 games; Falcons take 2 of 3

Jolian Gleaton scored on a 15-yard touchdown run with 11 seconds remaining in the game to give the  11 & 12 year-old Mississippi Bulldogs a 12-6 win over Marks Saturday morning at Pope Junior High.

Gleaton also accounted for the first Bulldog score with a 65-yard run in the first quarter.
Marks won the first two games of the day as the 7 and 8-year-olds won 14-12 while the 9 and 10’s blanked the Bulldogs 22-0.

Marks quarterback Jaquez Bradley scored both touchdowns for the 49ers while Lataurus Carruth scored on a 20-yard run for the Bulldogs. Jamarion Sanford added an 80-yard scoring run for the Mississippi Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will host the Sardis Falcons Saturday morning at 10 a.m

The Sardis Falcons 7 and 8-year-old defeated Grenada 12-6. The game was ruled in Grenada’s favor at first, but coach Ben Milton protested to the commissioner and the game was overturned. Milton’s complaint was the officials called the game unfairly.

The 9 and 10-year old team lost by six to Grenada while the 11-and-12-year-old team won by six.
