Batesville Police Sgt. Michael Hardin (left) and Patrolman Will Parrish examined debris from a broken window at Kangaroo Express on Highway 51 South at the Eureka Road intersection Sunday afternoon. The officers had arrived minutes after an incident that was first reported to have been caused by a gunshot. As they investigated, officers suggested other possibilities, including an object thrown into the glass. They were searching for a man in a white car who is believed to be responsible.
