ND’s DuBravec scores 39 points in win over Tunica

There are special nights in a basketball player’s career where he or she can not seem to miss a basket. Laci DuBravec had one of those nights Monday night.

The North Delta junior scorched the nets for 39 points on 11 three-pointers to help guide the Lady Green Wave to a 63-20 rout of Tunica Academy. Bradi Beard followed DuBravec in the scoring column with nine points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals as North Delta improved to 8-3 on the season.

Other scorers included Madison Greenlee with seven points, seven rebounds and five steals. Katelyn Still chipped in with three points to go along with five assists. Charla Shea Darby and Hanna Greenlee each added two while Kendall Morrow finished with one point.

North Delta also came away victorious in two more other girls contests as Erin Snider scored 19 points, 10 rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the junior high Green Wave to a 55-29 victory over the Blue Devils. Hastings Neal chipped in with 12 points and four steals while Peyton Rico contributed with 11 points.

Callie Blake Masterson passed out nine assists, six steals four points for North Delta. Jordan Pullen followed with four points while Julianna Morrow and Courtney DuBravec rounded out scoring with three and two points each.

North Delta  opens up District 2-AA play Tuesday night at Kirk before returning home Thursday to take on Calhoun starting a 3:15 p.m.
