School board, justice court races

Justice Court judge candidates Mike Wilson and Hal Johnson will likely move to a November 23 runoff, unofficial election results show.
Tuesday night returns showed Wilson led a four-man race with 1,406 votes, or 43 percent. Johnson followed with 856 votes, 26 percent.
Billy Brown followed third with 562 votes followed by Tim Holliday with 422 votes.
A total of 3,247 votes were cast in eight precincts in north Panola County.
Circuit Clerk Joe Reid and deputies were counting more than 950 absentee ballots late Tuesday night at press time.
In south Panola County, school board trustee Sandra Darby easily led challenger Rusty Lamb in a South Panola School Board race.
Election returns from four precincts showed Darby with 1,112 votes. Lamb had 484 votes.
