COLDWATER—George F. Ware Sr., 70, formerly of Batesville, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.
Services were Friday at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Jay Anderson officiated. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater.
Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Ware, born July 3, 1939, in Batesville, to the late Jacob Lawrence and Sabie Pinkston Ware, worked for AT&T as a repairman for 44 years and served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Elizabeth Brower Ware.
Survivors include: one daughter, Randye Ware Osa of Raleigh, N.C.; one son, George R. “Ron” Ware of Coldwater; three step-daughters, Kathryn Ann Buck of Harrisburg, Kathleen Anita Bailey of Senatobia and Karen Buck Adair of Senatobia; one step-son, Keith Andrew Buck of Senatobia; two sisters, Betty Ware Guest of Water Valley and Quida Ware Pollock of Batesville; one brother, Tony Glenn Ware of Batesville; 11 grandchildren. and two great-grandchildren.
