Tigers shutout Panthers, 38-0

The South Panola Tigers shutout the Petal Panthers, 38-0.

Domoninque Carothers started the scoring off with a four-yard touchdown in the second quarter with 4:49 left on the clock. With 1:04 left in the quarter, Nolan Parker kicked a 27-yard field goal. Qyen Griffin recovered a fumble with 53 seconds left in the half. Nick Brassell scored a on a six-yard reception from quarterback Lee Self with 15 seconds left on clock putting the Tigers ahead 17-0 at the half.

A 29-yard pass from Self to Brassell added 7 more points to make it 24-0 with 7:40 left in third quarter. With 4:33 on the clock, Griffin scored a 35-yard touchdown to make it 31-0 at the end of the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter with 6:57 left, the Tigers scored again when Nicholas Parker scored on a four-yard jumper for the final touchdown. Nolan Parker was perfect on the night in extra points with five of five.

Key defensive players were Dennis Draper, Devin Clark, Kendrick Market, Issac Gross, Josefh Pope and Taylor Rotenberry.

The Tigers had a total of 333 yards, 197 rushing and held Petal to 48 total yards, 49 rushing.
