BPD patrolman finds bloodied fight victim

A 22-year-old Batesville man has been charged with aggravated assault following an argument Saturday night, March 7, that escalated into blows, the Batesville Police Department reported.

Patrolman Carl Glass stated in his report that he arrested Jordon Reddoch Walker, 219 Westmoreland Circle, and jailed him after the officer’s response to the complaint of a disturbance at 335 Shamrock, Apartment 6B.

The officer met Walker walking west on Shamrock. His questioning led back to the apartment where he found Nick Finch bleeding from the head and face. Finch was transported to Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Finch is Walker’s uncle, Glass’ report stated.

A shoplifting incident also brought charges of contempt of court against Joani Howell, BPD Lt. Kerry Pittman’s report stated. The officer responded to the shoplifting complaint a Dollar General Sunday, March 8, and located a suspect through a vehicle tag number provided by a store employee.

During the investigation, Pittman learned of the department’s contempt warrant, the report stated.

Patrolman Scott Cagle invested the March 7 theft of a Pioneer CD radio from a vehicle parked at 203 Lester St., Apt. D, his report stated.

The radio was valued at $100.
