Pittsburgh Steeler cornerback Deshea Townsend appreciates his Panola County and Mississippi fans and Friday will sign autographs to show his appreciation.

The two-time Super Bowl champ will be at the Eureka from 6 to 8 p.m. signing autographs and visiting with the public. A special surprise presentation will be presented to Townsend after the signing and the public is invited.

Admission to the event is $10 for 13 and older. Children 12 and under are free.

The event is sponsored by Townsend’s former high school teammate Johnny Jones and his business, Next Level LLC.

“There will be food, music and entertainment,” Jones said.

While Townsend has been with Pittsburgh, the team has gone to the Super Bowl twice and won both times, XL (2005-’06) and XLIII (2008-’09).
