Cougar teams split games with Palmer

The North Panola Cougars return to district action tonight at Rosa Fort in Tunica after splitting non-district games with Palmer in Marks Tuesday night.

The Cougars lost 69-61 to bring their record to 7-11 overall. The girls scrapped out a 73-70 win to bring their record to 8-7 overall, 2-2 district.

Tunica boys defeated Independence Tuesday night 85-25 and the Tunica girls won 48-39 in district action.

Scoring in double figures for the Cougars were Rodriques Thomas, 22; Darius Loveberry, 12; and Ricky Hunt, 11 points.

Jenisha Jackson was the game high scorer with 29 points, followed by Jalisa Lyons, 15 and Brittany Patton, 11 points.

Game time at Rosa Fort tonight is 6 p.m.
