Polly Ann Green

POPE– Polly Ann Green, 77, died Friday, December 19, 2008.

Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater. Pate-Jones Funeral Home has charge.

Green, born to the late Frank and Zelma Crawford, was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Henry L. Green of Pope; three daughters, Betty Rushing Harvey Burt  and husband, Robert of Senatobia and Rita Rushing Keen and husband, Butch of Batesville and Debra Green of Pope; two sisters, Peggy Woolfolk and Sue Woodard, both of Senatobia; one brother, Dick Crawford of Senatobia; two granddaughters, Ginny Harvey Pirtle and husband, Chuck of Senatobia and Jamie Harvey McFarlin and husband, Nathan of Greenleaf and five great-grandchildren.


David Thomas Zammit

OLIVE BRANCH– David Thomas Zammit, 59, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto.

Services were Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church. Tim Lampley officiated. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery in Olive Branch. Cooley’s Mortuary had charge.

Zammit, born Oct. 18, 1949, in Baton Rouge, La., to the late Diana Marie Howard Zammmit and the late Thomas Emmanuel Zammit, was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he received a BA degree in architecture. He was an architect and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a member of the Gideons and a member of American Institute of Architects.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scotty Thomas Zammit.

Survivors include: his wife, Julia Zammit of Olive Branch; one daughter, Holly Gail Zammit of Memphis; two sons, Simmeon Thomas Zammit of Olive Branch and Casey Paul Zammit of Memphis; one sister, Diane Comstock of Colorado Springs, Texas and one brother, Bryan Miller of Knoxville, Tenn.
