Holidays begin on Friday for students in local schools, according to officials contacted by The Panolian on Monday.

At North Delta School, half-day schedules will be in operation Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

For most students, the Christmas holidays will begin with the dismissal bell on Friday. Those who need to take make-up exams will do so on Monday, December 22.

Students will return to school on Monday, January 5.

The South Panola School District will operate on a “Tuesday” (early dismissal) schedule this Friday, with students dismissed for the holidays after the last bell.

South Panola students return to classes on Tuesday, January 6.

Students in the North Panola School District will enjoy a half-day schedule on Friday before being dismissed for the holidays.

They will return to school on Monday, January 5.
