Led by Bradi Beard’s 17 points, the North Delta Junior High girls basketball team ran their record to a perfect 11-0 on the season with a 47-28 victory over North Sunflower Saturday night.
Laci Dubravec followed with 10 while Katelyn Still and Erin Snider each had six points each. Hannah Greenlee added four while Hannah Waldrip and Peyton Rico rounded out scoring with two points each.
The Lady Wave also were victorious in varsity action by a score of 47-24. Sara Waldrip led the way with 13 points followed by Linsey Hebert’s 11 points. Dubravec chipped in with eight points while Beard added seven. Lauren Kimzey added six with Jordan Pointer scoring two. With the victory, North Delta improved their record to 9-2 on the season.
In boys action, Jim Tom Copeland and Taylor Herron scored 16 points each to lead the Wave to a 59-46 victory. Bateman Greenlee added 12 points and six rebounds followed by Corbin Baker’s nine points, six assists and five boards. Geri Lamm chipped in with four points to go along with five steals and three assists. Tres Brasell rounded out the scoring with two points and four rebounds.
North Sunflower avoided the sweep by taking the Junior High boys contest 47-37. Renic Greenlee led North Delta with 13 points while Bailey Guckert followed with nine. Levi Garner and Timothy Polk each had six while Luke Williams finished with four points.
North Delta will be back in action at home Thursday night with a pair of varsity games versus non-district Strayhorn beginning at 6 p.m.
