ND Lady Wave Tournament

The North Delta varsity Lady Green Waves (4-2) played three games in the Winona Tournament and finished fourth.
In the first game the Lady Waves defeated Emmanuel 45-9.
Leaders were Sara Waldrip, 15 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, two assists for a double-double; Lauren Kimzey, 11 points, seven rebounds, 14 tips, nine steals, for a double-double; Bradi Beard, eight points, four rebounds, eight tips, six steals, two assists; and Linsey Herbert, five points, five rebounds, eight tips, seven steals.
In the second game the Lady Waves lost to Heritage 45-33. Leaders were Kimzey, 11 points, five rebounds; Hebert, six points, 10 tips, five steals; Beard, six points, six tips, three steals, two assists; Sara Waldrip, five points, four rebounds, two assists.
In the consolation game, the Lady Waves lost to Newton 54-29.
The leaders were Sara Waldrip, eight points, 19 rebounds (11 offensive), six tips; Kimzey, four points, six rebounds, four tips, three steals; Dubravec, four points, two tips; and Jordan Pointer, four points.
The Lady Green Wave defeated Calhoun in the regular season opener Tuesday, 33-29.
Scoring for the Green Wave were Sara Waldrip, 13 points; DuBravec, seven points; and Hebert, six points.
The Lady Green Wave will play its home opener Tuesday, hosting Winona following the junior high ladies’ game at 4 p.m.
The Winona Christian boys are still in football playoffs, therefore, there is no boy’s game scheduled.
Thursday, November 13, North Delta varsity teams will play Strayhorn beginning at 6 p.m. No junior high games are scheduled.
