Pope Bulldogs dominate Coffeeville

Pope Jr. High hosted Coffeeville last and won 32-8.

Pope held Coffeeville  to 19 total yards of offense while  racking up 318, 286 rushing and 32 passing.

Tailback Lakedric Flowers rushed for 186 yards, three touchdowns and two two-point conversions. He scored on runs of 67, 43 and 52 yards.

Fullback Tyler Beard had 83 yards rushing, a 71-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion.

Quarterback Tevis Flowers had 17 yards rushing, 32 yards pass and completed one of two passes.

Wingback Hunter Sawyer caught the one pass for 32 yards.

On defense Lakedric Flowers had nine tackles, one for loss, one sack and caused a fumbled. Strong guard Luke Latham had seven tackles, one for loss. Parker Jones, Tyler Beard, Josh Sturgis and Trevor Boyette each had four tackles. Jones and Boyette also had a tackle for loss.

Billy Lightning contributed three tackles. Tevis Flowers, Bob Smith and Hunter Sawyer each had two tackles. Tevis Flowers and Smith each had a tackle for loss.

Offensive positions include Latham, strong guard; Smith, strong tackle; Josh Sturgis, tightend; Tanner Toliver, center; Trevor Boyette, quick guard; Parker Jones, quick tackle; Blake Darby and Hunter Swyer, wingbacks; and Bob Smith and Eugene Love, split ends.

Pope will return home today to host Senatobia at 5 p.m.
