H.K. Kimble

OAKLAND– H.K. Kimble, 66, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Saturday at Persimmon Hill M.B. Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Eddie Robinson Funeral Home had charge.

Kimble was a Baptist and a mechanic at Danny Barton Shop.

CROWDER– James R. King Jr., 61, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North.

Services were Saturday at New Bethel M.B. Church in Crowder. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Eddie Robinson and Son Funeral Home had charge.

King was a self employed truck driver and a Baptist.

Charles Wesley Perry Sr.

INGLEWOOD, Calif.– Charles Wesley Perry Sr., 53, formerly of Batesville, died Friday, August 22, 2008, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Graveside services were Friday, August 29, 2008, at the Inglewood Cemetery.  Elijah Israel officiated. Inglewood Mortuary had charge.

Perry, born June 20, 1955, in Memphis, to the late Sterling and Clara Perry, was a truck driver for the National Ready Mix Concrete Company.

Survivors include: his wife, Donna Perry; three sons, Tarance Perry of Batesville, Charles Perry Jr.., and Brandon Perry; three daughters, Dana, Noelle and Tatiana Perry; seven brothers, Sterling Perry Jr. of Denver, Colo., Clyde Perry, Robert Perry, Ira Perry and Roy Perry of Batesville; Dennis Perry of Atlanta and Bruce Perry of Los Angeles, Calif., and John Perry of Signal Hill, Calif.; three sisters, Beverly Perry and Minnie Perry, both of Batesville and Shuna Perry of Carson, Calif. and three grandchildren.


Calvin Randall Mangrum

TEXAS– Calvin Randall Mangrum, 70, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at his residence.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos, Texas. Pennington Funeral Home has charge.

Mangrum, born Oct. 1, 1937, in Marked Tree, Ark., to Emily Mangrum of Batesville and the late Calvin Mangrum, was a sales representative.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marybryan Mangrum.

Survivors along with his mother incude: two brothers, Dennis Mangrum of Batesville and Philip Mangrum of Jackson; one sister, Judy Clark of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; one daughter, Kelly M. Chambers of Senatobia; one step-daughter, Shae Williams of Austin, Texas and two grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Camp Turner

BATESVILLE– Patricia Ann Camp Turner, 61, died Saturday, September 20, 2008, at her residence.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Crofford and Rev. Jerry Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Turner, born Oct. 28, 1946, in Bruce, to Martha Bess Shields Camp the late Lucious H. Camp, was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Grenada and Batesville Homemakers Club. She was a restaurant owner and manager.

Survivors along with her mother include: her husband of 37 years, J.T. Turner Jr. of Batesville; three daughters, Deana Michelle Turner Pittman and husband Kerry of Batesville, Carrie Gwen Turner McCain and husband Scotty of Batesville and Katherine Nicole Turner Hickson and husband, Nathan of Senatobia; two sisters, Spin Camp Smith and husband Jerry and Hilda Camp Gregory and husband Daniel, all of Bruce and three grandchildren, Rachel Marie Perkins, Abbigail Sulin Pittman and Hallee Grace Hickson.
