Vote on Mother’s Day example of government divided to extreme

In the U.S. House of Representatives last week, the House considered what should have been considered a very non-controversial Mother’s Day resolution. (View it in its entirety at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c110:2:./temp/~c110xsi62u::)

To see who voted against this Resolution, (ALL were of the SAME Party affiliation), see this website: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll275.xml,

The resolution passed 400 to 0, then Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-Kan.), rose in protest causing a second vote on the Resolution which resulted in 178 members of one party voting against it. In my opinion, this takes divided government way past the EXTREME, a house or a government divided against itself will fall. How much longer will the USA stand?
