The Green Wave walked away with two shutouts. They defeated Strider Academy 18-0 and North Sunflower 18-0.

Head coach Richard Russo said he was very pleased with his team’s performance but said that it was not worth losing player  Bailey Guckert.

Guckert broke his arm and had to have surgery on Friday.

Scoring for the Green Wave in the game against Strider were Michael Magee, Chris Rodgers and Tres Brassel.  The first string ran four plays and scored touchdowns on three of them.

In the game against North Sunflower, John Cody Dalrymple scored the first touchdown. Bryan Nickle scored twice on quarterback keepers, and Zack Inman intercepted the ball with 50 seconds left in the game to shut them out.

The junior high squad will participate in the Marvell jamboree Thursday.
