South Panola’s Darius “Tigg” Barksdale carries the ball during the first week of practice on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers put on pads Thursday for the first time since the spring. The Tigers will open the season Thursday, August 30 in the Red Carpet Classic at Vicksburg. Tickets will be on sale for the Classic beginning August 13 in the high school office for $8.
