Eddie Davis Jr.

SARDIS–Eddie Davis Jr., 76, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at the Sardis Community Nursing Home.

Graveside services are at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Rev. Roy Hartzell officiated. Moore-Nowell Funeral Home has charge.

Davis, born to the late Eddie and Allen Jaco Davis, was a carpenter.

Survivors include: one son, Billy Joe Davis of California; two sisters, Mildred Young and Betty Brown, both of Sardis and one grandchild.

Geneva Henderson

TUNICA–Geneva Henderson, 88, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at her residence.

She owned Henderson Funeral Home, with an office in Sardis.

Services will be Thursday at Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church in Tunica. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday noon – 8 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Henderson Funeral Home has charge.

Thomas F. Hardin

BATESVILLE–Thomas F. Hardin, 88, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Quitman County Hospital.

Graveside services are Wednesday at McIvor Cemetery in Batesville. Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Hardin was a member of McIvor Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister, Corrie Hardin Scallorn of Sardis.

Frances Pittman

CRENSHAW–Frances Pittman, 75, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Saturday at Pate-Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Longtown Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge.

She was a member of Crenshaw Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband, Burlin Pittman of Crenshaw; three daughters, Penny Potts of Senatobia, Peggy Raines of Crenshaw and Pamela Gentile of Senatobia; three sisters; one brother; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Crenshaw Baptist Church or the Crenshaw Library.

Eloise Warrington Willis

CROWDER–Eloise Warrington Willis, 86, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Tupelo.

Services were Sunday at Crowder Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Kilgore officiated. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Willis, born Jan. 14, 1921, was a member of the Crowder Baptist Church where she was active in Senior Ministry and a member of the choir. She was a retired beautician.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kelly Willis.

Survivors include: three daughters, Daphne Holcombe of Tupelo, Cheri Mitchell of Crowder and Brenda Reditt of Collierville, Tenn.; four sisters, Ilene Bounds of Marks, Mickey Bryant of West Helena, Ark., Helen Waller of Marks and Sheia Ryles of Lambert; five brothers, Leon Warrington of Walls, Bill Warrington of Lexington, Dr. James Warrington of Marks, Joe Warrington of Batesville, Dr. Paul Warrington of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
