A’s down Yanks, Sox take Royals

In the  America Legion 13-15 league, in the first game Tuesday it was the A’s beating the Yankees by the score of 10-4.

J.W. Willis got his first win of the year and Ryan Maxwell took the loss. The A’s had 15 hits with Willis going 3-3 and Drew Hurst, Joey Gabbard and D.G. Arnold each going 2-3.

For the Yankees there were only eight hits with Chris Brown, Maxwell and Colby Gammill each going 2-3. Spencer Holland and Jonathan Dettor got the other hits.

In the night cap it was the Red Sox beating the Royals 6-4 with the win going to Matt Hendrix and the loss going to Lee Self. For the Red Sox, Hendrix was 2-3. Max Brown went 2-3 for the Royals.
