Dedication…

These few pages are dedicated to the 22 young ladies who have put themselves into position to claim a Mississippi State Softball championship of their own.

They went through a coaching change and stuck it out. Coach Ashleigh Hicks is as demanding as this sport  demands she be to bring success to South Panola.

Though one game is behind us at this publication, this celebrates a season that you were not even sure was going to be yours.

You forged paths that had been nothing but forests to you. You believed in yourselves and your teammates and you made a difference. You made this happen.

This was a season of learning of putting old bad habits behind and picking up new skills you did not even realize existed or that your could have.

So on behalf of The Panolian staff, our advertisers, the community and school, congratulations on a job well done! We are pulling for you.
